  • Questions you should ask at the end of the interview
  •     Your interview is coming to a close and the interviewer asks you "Do you have any questions?" At this point the interviewer has now turned the tables and its your turn to ask the questions. Do not say "No I have no questions", doing this makes you look as though you are not interested in the job or do not understand what the job is about. You need to ask questions, but not just any questions. Below is a list of questions to ask and not to ask.
     
    Top Questions you should ask:
     
    1. Do you have any concerns or questions on my ability to perform this job?
     
    2. What are some of the things I can do make an impact in the first 90 days of employment?
     
    3. What is the experience level on the team I will be working on? Would you say I have more experience or less experience?
     
    4. What is a typical day like for someone in this position?
     
    5. Is there currently room for advancement within the organization?
     
    6. What does this company value the most in an employee?
     
    7. Do members on the team work together or apart?
     
    8. What are the organization's strengths, and what challenges does it face?
     
    9. How and when will my performance be evaluated on this job? How is success measured in this department / organization?
     
    10. What are the day-to-day expectations and responsibilities of this job?
     
     
    Top Questions you should not ask:
     
    1. What is it that your company does?
     
    2. Do I need to clock in and out every day?
     
    3. Will my salary be higher or lower then people on my team?
     
    4. What is your policy on sick days?
     
    5. What kind of daycare program or family care programs do you offer?
     
    6. Why do you think I'd be a good fit for the company?
     
    7. Will I have to work overtime?
     
    8. What can this company do for me?
     
    9. Why should I work for you?
     
    10. The job sounds pretty cool. Why did the last person leave?
