    1. Don't be nervous: There is no reason to be nervous on an interview. You will have many interviews through out the course of your career and you will learn something from each interview.
     
     
    2. Be honest: If you do not know something go ahead and say it. If you decide to lie and act like you know the answer you will get caught and not get the job.
     
     
    3. Dress to impress: You are being judged the second you walk in the door. Do not give your interviewer an excuse to not hire you!
     
     
    4. Be on time: You should be in the building no later than 15 mintues before the interview starts. You want them to notice that you are early and are serious about the interview.
     
     
    5. Prepare, prepare, prepare: Do not go to the interview with no clue on what the company does. Learn as much as you can about the company and position by asking your recruiter and/or research the company on the Internet.
     
     
    6. Be energetic: Be enthusiastic about the interview and make eye contact with the hiring manager. Stay energized and interested in the company and your potential responsibilities.
     
     
    7. Be positive: Do not talk negatively about your previous employers and about the opportunities of this position.
     
     
    8. Personal baggage: Do not discuss your personal problems as they may appear to hinder your job performance.
     
     
    9. References: Pick and choose your references wisely. You do not want to have friends as references, instead choose prior Managers, Professors, etc.
     
     
    10. Sell yourself: Your only objective for the interview is to get the job. Don't be afraid to sell yourself. Remember that every good salesperson asks for the sale and you can too. End your interview with a closing statement, reiterating why you'd be a good employee, it's just the type of position you've been looking for and that you'd be a good addition to their team.
